Maria Wolff, a Family Service Counselor at Calumet Park Cemetery suggested it would be nice if we had a cookbook of some of the favorite recipes of our employees. Her dream came to fruition and we now have a beautiful cookbook that includes appetizers, beverages, soups and salads, vegetables and side dishes, main dishes, breads and rolls, desserts, and cookies and candy. There are also a number of pages that offer helpful hints, from pantry basics to herbs and spices to calorie counting and much more.
One copy of this beautiful cookbook will be given to each family signing for permanent placement of a loved one here at Calumet Park Cemetery, whether ground burial, entombment in a mausoleum or inurnment in a niche. Additional copies may be purchases for a very nominal price of $7.99 plus tax. All proceeds will go to the Merrillville food bank. This is a chance for you to buy stocking stuffers for Christmas while helping out the less fortunate. What a nice combination. Stop in at the office to get your copy now. By the way, the Buffalo Chicken Dip is fantastic…it is the first to be gobbled up at tail-gate parties.
