Thanks to all who visited this year’s Trunk or Treat event at Calumet Park Funeral Chapel in Hobart. The funeral home is just north of the County Line Apple Orchard and just south of Route 6 and County Line Road in Hobart. A special thanks go out to all who helped make this event such a success. Lead by Violet de la Torre-Corona, funeral director, and Mike Poweska, many local businesses participated which offered a safe place for kids of all ages to spend a couple of hours having fun. Several employees from Calumet Park worked along side Violet and Mike and are appreciated for their contribution to this wonderful activity.

Mark your calendar for December 8 for the Angel Tree Lighting Ceremony to be held at the Hobart Chapel (370 North County Line Road in Hobart. Merrillville’s tree lighting is December 1 and Rendina’s tree lighting is November 29. Call for times and to reserve your angels.
