Driving into the cemetery at Calumet Park the other day, I noticed how beautiful the plants and flowers are this year.  The “back” entrance to the cemetery is on 73rd avenue, about a quarter mile west of Taft.   Once inside the cemetery, you are greeted with the road divider as seen above.  Just a couple of seconds farther north and you would come to the Butterfly Garden in the Back to Nature Section of the Cemetery.

Calumet Park has 160 beautifully developed acres with another 240 acres of land for future development as needed.  After you do all the fancy math, one discovers that there is land enough at Calumet Park to last us at least 600 (that is not a type) years, not counting going up as mausoleums are added.
