Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville honors veterans on Memorial Weekend

Thousands of area residents visited Calumet Park Cemetery over the Memorial Weekend.  Even though it was the hottest Memorial Weekend  in memory, the high heat did not keep folks from paying their respects, not only for area veterans, but also for their own family members that have passed away.

The slide show (above) and the photo gallery (below) is presented in honor of this weekend of remembrance.

All photos were taken by Marisela Gonzalez, a family service counselor at Calumet Park.  She was joined with all of the Calumet Park staff who worked diligently to make Calumet Park a place of beauty and peace for all of our families.  A special thanks to Tim McClure, grounds superintendant and his assistant Tom Music, along with the entire grounds crew, for doing such a wonderful job on living up to the high standards of Calumet Park Cemetery.
